Answer:

9y² - 21y - 8

a + b = -21

a × b = -72

-24 + 3 = -21

-24 × 3 = -72

9y² + 3y - 24y - 8

= 3y(3y + 1) - 8(3y + 1)

= (3y + 1) (3y - 8)

3y + 1 = 0 , 3y - 8 = 0

3y = -1 3y = 8

y = -1/3 y = 8/3
