first write the equation

15xsqr -960= 0

add 0x

it implies 15xsqr+0x-960=0

divide with 15

it implies x^+0x-64=0

factorising

x^+8x-8x-64=0

x(x+8)-8(x+8)=0

(x+8)(x-8)=0

(x+8)=0

(x-8)=0

Hence x=+8or-8
