Solution:

(x²+1/x²)-4(x+1/x)+6

=(x²+1/x²+2)-4(x+1/x)+4

=(x+1/x)²-4(x+1/x)+4

= (x+1/x)²-2(x+1/x)*2+2²

= (x+1/x-2)²

= (x+1/x-2)(x+1/x-2)
