= (x^4 + 1)(x^4 - 1)

= (x^4 + 1){(x^2)^2 - (1)^2}

= (x^4 + 1)(x^2 + 1)(x^2 - 1)

= (x^4 + 1)(x^2 + 1)(x + 1)(x -1)
