India is a country with multiple religions, multiple cultures, multiple ethnics, and has a multi-regional society. Although it may seem to be great to have such different backgrounds in the same country, there are a lot of conflicts and issues, which can be avoided with the changing mindset of the citizens.

A few steps to promote national integration and unity are -

1. By promoting secularism - The communal conflicts and differences and discrimination based on religions, castes, and linguistic communities should be avoided.

2. National objectives to inculcate emotional involvement by promoting cultural integration should be done especially by involving the various cultural groups.

3. Education can change the mindset of people to a large extent. Therefore, education should be made mandatory for everyone and through education, the concept of equality and national integration can be promoted.

4. Political parties and non-political organizations should take necessary steps to bring social awareness and social reforms in people to change the narrow thinking of the people and to promote the idea of national integration.
