From my point of view factors declining the staus of social science as a school subject with special reference to India are:-
1)In India,people are mostly interested to be an engineer or a doctor therefore they dont see the advantage of learning social science in schools.
2)Social Science as a subject is given a lower position compared to science or History and Geography because Most of the Children are not interested towards this subject.
3)Good Teachers in this subject are very less therefore the teaching quality of this subject throughout India is poor
4)Finally,people of India has a bad image towards the politics and often consider this subject as a part of it therefore discouraging the learning of this subject.
