Microorganism decomposes the wastes like dungs, remains on plants and animal and degradable things like paper. Thus, things like plastic, rubber and thermocol takes years and years to decompose in the soil and due to this the soil gets unfertilised and sometimes harmful gases also gets released and microorganisms die in the soil. This causes the soil to get unfertilised and Hence, this unfertilised soil is also called soil pollution.
