Part of book read on next day :-

Convert them into like fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators i.e, 1 and 5.

LCM of 1 and 5 is 5.

${\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{1 \times 5}{1 \times 5} - \dfrac{2}{5} = \boxed{\tt\dfrac{5}{5} - \dfrac{2}{5}}}$

${\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{5 - 2}{5} = \boxed{\tt\dfrac{3}{5}}}$

$\Huge\therefore$The part of book read on second day is ${\tt\dfrac{3}{5}}$
