A very good morning to all. Dear teachers and my students, we are gathered here to celebrate the farewell party of Mr. … today. As being the principal of this college (or school), I would like to recite an honor speech on the farewell party of Mr. … about his distinguished personality. Mr. …. was a most responsible teacher in my college for many years and followed his all the responsibilities as a good teacher with full commitment. I feel very sorry that today we are losing a most responsible teacher in our college however we cannot change the fate. He and his works would be always in our heart forever.

This year has passed by in a flash: what should have been ten excruciating months of torture seems like only a few months of fun.   How, I wonder, is that possible?   I mean, teenagers aren’t supposed to have fun in school, are they?   Isn’t it illegal?

What other school has a gym teacher who has lead us to numerous athletic victories?

What other school has a social teacher who you can confide your problems in, plus drill information into our heads about the Aztec, Renaissance and Edo Japan, while making the process amusing?

What other school has a math teacher that allows you to compare answers with your neighbour and helps you understand the most complicated algebra?

What other school has a band teacher that has won more golds and trophies with her bands than I am able to count?

What other school has a drama teacher that, while being a teacher, is still understanding of our teenage moodiness?

What other school has a science teacher who can manage to make the most mind boggling ideas simple and fun enough to grasp?

What other school has a French teacher who challenges all you know about said foreign language, but makes the experience enjoyable?

What other school has a principle that knows your name, not because your behavior is horrible, but because she actually cares?   Not to mention, she makes delicious fudge.

The answer to all those questions is none.   Harry Balfour has incredible teachers that no other school can even compete with.   So while much of this year’s memories have to do with the laughter we’ve shared with our friends, our teachers deserve...
