Let the number of chickens be x and number of sheeps be y ;

According to the question :

x+y = 48

2x+4y = 134
x+2y = 67

48-y = 67-2y
67-48 = 2y-y
y = 19
-----------------------------------
Hence the total number of sheeps are 19

suppose number of chikens x and number of sheeps y
then
according heads
x+y=48, x=48-y
and according to legs
2x+4y=134, 2(x+2y)=134, x+2y=67, x=67-2y
then
48-y= 67-2y
y=67-48
y= 19
