Answer:

Explanation:

Manure, Compost and Fertilizers

Explanation:

(a) Manure:

Manure is the decomposition of dead plants and animals.

It is rich in phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium.

   Fertilizer:

Fertilizer is a chemical material that comprises necessary nutrients to make the soil fertile.

It helps in increasing the productivity of crops quickly.

  Compost:

Compost is the finished material formed by the biodegradation of organic matters.

It is produced using all types of wastes but contains less nutrients.

(b) Manure:

Advantage- It helps in providing humus to the soil and increases it's water holding capacity.

Disadvantage- It is not very rich in nutrients. Thus, do not improve the physical conditions of the soil.

 Fertilizers:

Advantage- These helps in improving the physical condition of the soil as they are rich in nutrients.

Disadvantage- As they are prepared in factories and contains good amount of chemicals in them. Thus, it decreases the soil fertility.

(c) Precautions that farmers must take during the application of fertilizers and  weedicides are:

never use expired fertilizers or weedicide for your crops

farmers must cover their faces while using them

Do not drain the left overs in ponds or lakes
