Answer :
Because leguminous plants have certain bacteria known as rhibozium in their roots nodules which convert the atmospheric nitrogen into nitrogenic compounds which can be further used by plants. Since nitrogen is naturally replenished in leguminous plants farmers do not add nitrogenous fertilizers in the soil in leguminous plants.

HEY!!
✔Farmers need not add nitrogen fertilisers to the soil in which leguminous plants are grown as Rhizobium bacteria live in the root nodules of leguminous plants.
✔These bacteria convert the nitrogen present in the atmosphere into soluble nitrogen for the growth of plants.
✔In return, the plants provide food and shelter to the Rhizobium bacteria.
