Farmers is advised to grow peas after harvesting wheat .Name yhe nutrients found insufficient. How do you think growig peas will help in replenishing the soil??

i) Nitrogen is the macro element which is deficient in soil or insufficient in soil

ii) Generally Plants of fabaceae such as peas,groundnuts,beans..etc have a special feature of harbouring Rhizobium bacteria which converts the atmospheric nitrogen into nitrates and nitrites or in form of which plant requires hence by growing these prior to wheat it enhances availability of nitrogen thereby increasing yield..
