No of hrs devoted for Physics and Chemistry

= 4 1/3

= 13/3 hrs

No of hrs he studies daily

= 7 1/4

= 29/4 hrs

Using above information

29/4 = 13/3 + x

29/4 – 13/3 = x

( 29×3 – 13×4 ) / 12 = x

( 87 – 52 ) / 12 = x

x = 35 / 12

x = 2 + 11/12 hrs

Ans : No of time denoted for mathematics = 35/12 hrs.
