multiply (4th) equation by 2

12a+40b=12..........(5)

subtract equation (4) from (5)

12a+40b=12-6a+20b=6

25b=5

b=5/25

b=1/2.......(put in equation 3)

12a+15(1/2)=7

12a+31=7

12a=7-31

12a=-24

a=-24/12

a=-2
