ATQ, age of a father and his son together is 66 years and father's age is double of his son's age.

let the age of the son be x.

therefore father's age will be 2x.

➡ x + 2x = 66 yrs

➡ 3x = 66 yrs

➡ x = 66/3

➡ x = 22

hence,

age of the son = x = 22 yrs

age of the father = 2x = 2 × 22 = 44 yrs
