Answer:

Father’s Help’ is written by R.K. Narayanan. In this, Swamy lies to his mother that he has headache so that he could take leave from school. His generous mother permitted him to stay at home, though he could not fool his father. He lied to his father that he would be beaten by his teacher if he went late to school. But his father forced Swamy to go to school with a letter addressed to the head master. To justify what has been written in the letter he wanted Samuel to punish him. Swamy deliberately provoked Samuel by yelling. He therefore, caned him. Swamy rushed to the head master room, but found the room locked. The peon informed him that the head master would be on leave for a week, asked him to handover the letter to the assistant head master who was Samuel. Hearing this, he fled from the place. As soon as he reached home, hearing Swamy’s excuses, his father called him a coward. Father tore the letter in to pieces commenting that he deserve a teacher like Samuel.
