Present ages of son be p and father be p + 30

Situation,

One Year Ago :-

p + 30 - 1 = 4(p - 1)

p + 29 = 4p - 4

p + 33 = 4p

p + 33 - 4p = 0

-3p = -33

$\rm \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:p=\dfrac{\cancel{33}}{\cancel{3}}$

p = 11

Hence,

Present age of Son = 11 years

Present age of father :-

= 30 + 11

= 41 years
