Father is three times as old as his son .ln 10years time he will be double his son .Find their percentage.

Let the present age of Son be x years

Father is three times son's age

∴ father's present age = 3x

After 10 years

Age of son = x + 10

Age of father = 3x + 10

According to question

Father will be double his son's age

∴ 3x + 10 = 2( x + 10)

3x + 10 = 2x + 20

x = 10

∴present age of son is 10 years

Present age of father is 3x = 30 years

son age is =x
after 10 years age of the father and the sin is 3x+10and x+10 respectively.
3x+10=2(x+10)
3x+10=2x+20
3x-2x=20-10
x=10
therefore the present age of the son is 10 years and the present age of the father is 30
