Answer:
"Reward for Taro" is an excellent Japanese story that comes with lot of understanding about Taro and about his character, who was a poor woodcutter and somehow managed by earning very little to live his life with his parents.
He was young and hardworking but he was a very thoughtful person and son by nature. He wanted to earn enough so that he could protect his parents during wind by drinking something that offered warmth.
He worked harder and harder just to provide his father with "sake". later when the villagers got to know about "sake", they rushed to drink it an eventually got cold water due to which they wanted to kill him.
He was wise enough to escape then. His kindness and wisdom earned him twenty pieces of gold at last.
