Let sum of ages of children be x.
Let the father's age be y.
y=3x
After five years, sum of ages of children will be x+5+5
=x+10.
y+5=2(x+10)

=> 3x+5=2x+20
=> x=15
=> y=3*15=45
Therefore, the father's age is 45.
