Question:-

  • Father's age is five times the age of his daughter. After 6 more year's father's age will be three times her age. Find father's present age.

To Find:-

  • Find the present age of father.

Solution:-

  • Let the daughter age be ‘ x ’

  • Father's age be ‘ 5x ’

According to the Question:-

\sf\longrightarrow \: 3( x + 6 ) = 5x + 6

\sf\longrightarrow \: 3x + 18 = 5x + 6

\sf\longrightarrow \: 5x - 3x = 18 - 6

\sf\longrightarrow \: 2x = 12

\sf\longrightarrow \: x = \cancel\dfrac { 12 } { 2 }

\sf\longrightarrow \: x = 6

Hence ,

  • Daughters age is 6 years

  • Father's age is 5x = 30 years
