Question:-

Father's age is five times the age of his daughter. After 6 more year's father's age will be three times her age. Find father's present age.

To Find:-

Find the present age of father.

Solution:-

Let the daughter age be ‘ x ’

Father's age be ‘ 5x ’

According to the Question:-

\sf\longrightarrow \: 3( x + 6 ) = 5x + 6⟶3(x+6)=5x+6

\sf\longrightarrow \: 3x + 18 = 5x + 6⟶3x+18=5x+6

\sf\longrightarrow \: 5x - 3x = 18 - 6⟶5x−3x=18−6

\sf\longrightarrow \: 2x = 12⟶2x=12

\sf\longrightarrow \: x = \cancel\dfrac { 12 } { 2 }⟶x=

2

12

\sf\longrightarrow \: x = 6⟶x=6

Hence ,

Daughters age is 6 years

Father's age is 5x = 30 years
