Answer:

son's age is 12years and father's age is 48years...

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, let the son's age be X years

then father's age is 4x

therefore, according to the question,

x+4x=60

or, 5x=60

or, x=12

so, the son's age is 12 years

and father's age is 48 years.

thanks a lot...

Answer:

Let the present ages of son and father be x and (60 -x) years respectively.

Then, (60 - x) - 5= 4(x - 5)

55 - x = 4x - 20

5x = 75 => x = 15

ᴛʜᴇɴ ꜱᴏɴ'ꜱ ᴀɢᴇ = 15

ᴀɴᴅ ꜰᴀᴛʜᴇʀ'ꜱ ᴀɢᴇ=

60 - 15

 = 45

ʜᴇɴᴄᴇ, ꜰᴀᴛʜᴇʀ' ᴀɢᴇ = 45

& ꜱᴏɴ'ꜱ ᴀɢᴇ = 15.
