Let son's age be x.

Then,father’s current age will be 4x.

Father's age 10 years ago=4x-10=10x-100

4x-10x=-100+10

-6x=-90

-x=-90/6

X=15

If son’s current age is 15,then father's age (4x)=15×4=60…

Then son's age 10 years ago was 15-10=5,

And Father's age was 60-10=50…

let son's age be x
so father's age =4x
given:x+10=4x+10/2
        2(x+10)=4x+ 10
      2x+20=4x+10
      20-10=4x-2x
        2x = 10
 so x = 5
 son's present age = x =5 yrs
 father's present age=4x= 4 x 5
                                      =20 yrs
