Answer:

A luminescent metal-organic framework (LMOFs), [Zn2(TCBPDC)0.5(H2O)2]n∙ 2.5H2O ∙ 5DMF (1, DMF = N, N-Dimethylformamide), which had been synthesized by solvothermal reaction and fully characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis and the like. Importantly, the removal guest sample, 1a, exhibits intense luminescence in the solid-state and high sensitivity and selectivity to Cr3+ and Cr2O72- ions in solution. At the same time, the competition and cycling experiments showed the luminescent response from 1a towards Cr3+ and Cr2O72- had good anti-interference ability and recyclability, which implied 1a should be used as a potential probe for the detection of Cr3+ and Cr2O72-. Additionally, the possible quenching mechanism is also discussed.
