yes it is a redox reaction. because aluminium is getting oxidise to aluminum oxide and iron oxide is getting reduced to iron.

Answer: Fe_2O_3+2Al\rightarrow Al_2O_3+2Fe

Redox reaction is one in which oxidation and reduction takes place simultaneously.

Oxidation is a process in which electrons are lost and thus the oxidation number of the element increases.

Reduction is a process in which electrons are gained and thus the oxidation number of the element decreases.

In the given reaction, Fe is in oxidation state of +3 in Fe_2O_3 and changes to Fe in zero oxidation state, thus gets reduced.

Al is in zero oxidation state and converts to +3 oxidation state in Al_2O_3
