Fear and excitement generally cause one to breathe rapidly and it results in the decrease of carbon dioxide concentration in the blood. In what way will it change the pH of the blood? I know the answer is- pH will adjust to 7... but I can't understand why???

It is measured on a scale of 0-14, solutions with a pH of less than 7.0 are acids while solutions with a pH of greater than 7.0 are bases. In very simple terms bases are used to neutralize acids, while acids are used to neutralize alkalis.” The above is the explanation. Whenever you feel fear and excitement, you will breathe rapidly because there is flight or fight tendency created and the adrenaline in your body gets pumped.
