Explanation:

Harappa is a large village presently in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Modern town is part of the ancient city. It stands on the left bank of the now dry Ravi river. Harappa was first excavated by Mortimer Wheeler. Many scholars have argued that Harappa site can be associated with Hariyupiya mentioned in Rigveda (VI.27.4-8). In this reference, there is a description of a combat between Abhyavartin (Puru Clan) and Turvasa (Turvasa Clan). Abhyavartin defeated portions of Turvasa forces with the aid of Indra. Unfortunately there was’nt any evidence found in Harappan ruins about a battle happened. Possibly Hariyupiya mentioned in Rig Veda may be a different place or Harappa itself. Until the puzzle is resolved this theory may or may not hold good.
