The features and characteristics of globe are :-

• It is a spherical representation of the earth.
• There are various horizontal and vertical lines on the globe called latitude and longitude which serves the purpose of searching a particular place on the earth. It becomes very easy to identify places.
• There are imaginary parallel lines drawn on the globe which divides the earth in to two half's. This imaginary line is called the equator. The two half's are called northern and southern hemisphere .
