  3. Arid soils lack humus due to scarcity of vegetation
  4. Lower layers of Arid soils have a layer of 'Kanker' or calcium content which prevents the seepage of water.
  5. These soils need to be ploughed deeply by turning the soil upside down.
  6. With adequate irrigation, aris soils can be cultivated.

  2. they are generally sandy in texture and saline in nature
  3. in some areas all content is very high and common salt is obtained by evaporation
  4. due to dry climate, high-temperature, evaporation is fast and lunch humus in moisture
  5. the origin of the soil are required by because the increasing calcium content downwards..
