Refusal by peasants to pay revenue and chaukidari taxes.

◆Civil disobedience movement was led by Mahatma Gandhi Ji during 1930's.

◆This movement got support from industrialists and big peasants who supported small pesants as when they were unable to pay rent to landlords.

◆This movement resorted to Gandhi Ji's famous "Salt-March" along with his 78 followers.
The main aim was to break "Salt Laws".

◆This movement restricted participation ofMuslim community . Due to proximity of Hindu Mahasabha and Congress party.

◆This movement led to boycott of foregin clothes and goods.

◆Large scale participation of women in this movement was a dominant feature.
