Drip irrigation is the method by which maximum number of crops can be watered by using minimum amount of water.
In this method, pipes are fixed in the soil and are pierced at strategic points such that water droplets, that are released drop by drop go straight into the roots of plants.
Through this method, we can save water, which is a scarce resource on Eartg.

In drip agriculture, the farm is irrigated with thin pipes having small holes through which water drips on the soil drop wise.
It is mostly practiced in areas where there is scarcity of water like Rajasthan and Gujarat .
This also helps in saving the water .
