himadri also known as greater himalayas.it z the northern most range wch consists of  high peaks wth an average height of 6000m like kanchenjunga,mount everest,k2......

the middle himalayas also known as himachal wch lies to south of the himadri & it forms most rugged mountains consisting of compressed & altered rocks.the height varies from 3700 to 4500m. pirpanjal range,mahabharat range r common mountains.

the outer/lesser also known as shivalliks extends over 10-50 km in lenght & have an average height of 900-1100 m.the mountains r made up of sediments brought down by the rivers frm the greater himalayas like ganges & brahmaputra.the valleys in this mountains r nagahills,garo,mizo hills.....
