In the Neolithic Stone Age, there were certain exclusive characteristics. Such as :
1. People led settled life.
2. Production of food grains started while some still practiced hunting and gathering also.
3. They lived in huts or pit dwellings.
4. Tools such as hoe, bone needle, potter's wheel were used.
5. It has evidence of oldest human settlement in one place.
6. They cultivated wheat and barley using hoe technique.
7. Oldest evidence of beads making is also seen here may be as a jewellery for status or beautification.
8. Oldest evidence of cotton production and cloth making is found.
