These muscles cells are highly specialised in contraction.

This contraction and relaxation is due to the presence of the contractile proteins:

★ Actin

★ Myosin

They occur in the form of fine fibres known as myofibrils.

And the cytoplasm found in these muscles is known as Sacroplasm.

They do not increase in size.
