Good evening!
On this auspicious occasion I stand before you with extreme pleasure on behalf of Science Club of …………….School. First of all, let me express my deep gratitude to you all for selecting me as the President of Science Club.
” It is a small step for me, but a great leap for mankind.” Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the Moon, said it when he landed on the moon. I think these words are relevant as we embark on simple but new programmes under the auspices of the science Club because they go a long way in the development of scientific taste, knowledge and research in students.
Modern science has been hailed everywhere as the symbol of the status, liberty and power. When we analyze the gradual development of science and technology, it raises before us several questions about the identity and uniqueness of mankind. It is a boon or bane? It will definitely be a bane for the society if it is not channelised properly.
Nowadays, environmental pollution is a hotly discussed issue in the social and political scenario of the world. These issues are mere symbols which show as in a mirror what we have done in the past. This is the place where students have to take u responsibility in order to create awareness in the society and be the torch bearers for the forth coming generations.
The Executive Committee of Science Club consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and 5 class representatives who are elected by the students from Grade 6 to 10.
First of all, I take this opportunity to thank Almighty God for having given me this place and position. However, I know quite well that this would not have been possible without the encouragement and inspiration given by my parents, the school management and the teachers. I owe my love and gratitude to them and I give word that I shall not fall short of their expectation
