female Anopheles mosquitoes are considered as vectors and not parasite what is the reason

Female anopheles mosquito acts as a vector in transmission of the pathogen for instance the sporozoites into an unaffected human causing malaria. It is not a parasite because it does not completely depend on the host for meal and survival completely in spite of their need of warm blood for reproduction processes.
