female ovary produces one ovum at a time every month. this implies that not more than one zygote can be formed at a time. how are twin produced then? also also find out why some twins are identical and some are not ​

Sometimes two ovum may be produced when both of them are fertilised and implanted in the uterus non- identical twins are born.They are also called as heterozygotic twins. Identical twins are born when one single zygote divides and both gets implanted in the uterus. They are called homozygotic twins.
