Fencing means the perimeter, therefore the perimeter of the garden is 50 metres. Perimeter of a rectangle is 2×(L+B) hence L+B=50÷2=25. Hence we guess that each side is 12.5metres. 1 metre=100cm, therefore 12.5 metres=12.5×100= 1250 cm.
