Perimeter of compound
 \frac{total \: cost}{rate}
ie,
 =  \frac{4930}{85}  \\  = 58 \: m

perimeter \:  = 2(l + b) \\  = 2(l \:  + 10) \\  = 2l + 20 = 58 \\  2l \:  = 58 - 20 = 38 \\ l = 38 \div 2 \\  = 19

Hi friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer:

Given that,

Cost of fencing per meter = Rs 85.

Cost of fencing whole house = Rs 4930

Breadth = 10m.

To  find,

Perimeter & Length of the rectangle.

Solution,

Cost of fencing Whole compound = Cost of fencing per meter × Perimeter.

⇒ 4930 = 85\times perimeter

⇒ perimeter= \frac{4930}{85}

⇒ Perimeter = 58\ m.

We know that,

Perimeter = 2( length + bredth).

Let length be x.

Then,

58 = 2(x + 10)

⇒  x+10=\frac{58}{2} = 29

⇒ x = 29 -10 = 19.

Therefore Length is 19 cm & Perimeter is 58 cm.
