Fever in malaria is due to release of merozoites from red blood cells

Option-(C)

Step by step explanation

The stage merozoites in the red blood cells are the asexual stage of malaria Plasmodium. These cells are pear-shaped and multiply within the Red blood cells(RBC). Some are maintained in the bloodstream to transfer to the sexual stage while others are released by bursting the Red blood cells(RBC).

The parasites inside the body  travel to the liver, where they mature. The mature parasites enter the bloodstream after several days, and begin to infect red blood cells. These  red blood cells multiply within 48 to 72 hours, causing the infected cells to burst open.

They release the certain factors that cause accumulation in blood   and toxins in the blood which gives the symptoms of malaria-related fever .

Malaria symptoms typically develop within 10 days to 4 weeks of the infection. Symptoms may not develop in several months, in some cases. Some malaria parasites may enter the body, but will remain dormant for a long time.

Some of the common symptoms of malaria are high fever, diarrhea

anemia  ,muscle pain , headache and convulsions etc...

  • Tips to prevent malaria

Take the right type of anti-malarial medicines while travelling . The medication of anti-malarial prevention tablets will also need to take on regular bases  and other concurrent medications.

Insect repellent creams  should be applied to all remaining exposed parts of the skin, in particular at night . It is recommended that the repellent be applied also during the daytime.

Maintaining a proper balance diet and should stay in hygienic surroundings and should spray insecticide in  place where you stay.
