so,
→ Number of benches = (x - 1) / 1 = (x - 1)
therefore,
→ x - 1 = {(x/2) + 1}
→ x - (x/2) = 1 + 1
→ (x/2) = 2
→ x = 4 .
hence,
→ Total Number of benches = (x - 1) = 4 - 1 = 3 Benches (Ans.)
