Village children

Explanation:

(a) I do not agree with Hari Singh. The number of cases of swollen neck is increasing every month. It is more likely a disease than a curse.

(b) The most common reason behind swollen necks in children is due to the swelling of the lymph nodes, which is caused by an infection in the lymph nodes. The condition is called Lymphadenitis and it occurs when child have respiratory infection or cold. The health condition can be treated easily by administering some antibiotics to fight the infection and medicines to reduce the swelling.

(c) The villagers need to be educated to overcome their superstition. Knowledge is the only weapon to fight blind faith.

(d) Shyam is an educated person, and he is not superstitious.
