Answer:

hello

It deals with the forces applied to objects by the fluids around that object. Partly immersed in a fluid apparently loses weight by an amount equal to that of the fluid displaced. Body immersed in a fluid is buoyed up by a force (buoyant force).

ARCHIMEDES

Archimedes was born in 287 BCE in the seaport city of Syracuse, Sicily ( Italy ). During his youth, he visited Egypt to study at Alexandria. There are many stories about how Archimedes made his discoveries. A famous one is about how he revealed an attempt to cheat king Hieron. The King ordered a goldsmith a golden crown and gave him the required gold. But the king suspected that the goldsmith had mixed some silver instead of gold in the Crown. The Matter was given to Archimedes to solve. One day when he was in his but he suddenly found out the solution. He got up and started running in the street shooting "Eureka" ( means ' I have found it ).

The solution he gave become famous by the name of 'ARCHIMEDES PRINCIPLE '. It states that when a body is immersed in water it displays the water equal to its weight. So, he must the grown in water and noted the weight of water displaced and then compared it to the weight of the water displaced on emerging the pure gold of the weight. Thus, he found out the weight of the silver mixed in the grown.

He made many great discoveries in the field of maths also. He died in 212 BCE.
