Bachendri Pal is the first Indian woman to reach the Summit of Mount Everest on my 23, 1984 .beginning the climb in early may 1984 Her team all most met with a tragedy when and Avalanche Buried their Camp . more than half the group was forced to abandon the climb because of injury or fatigue .however, pal and the rest of team passed on and she reached the submit on May 23 1984 .

adventurous spirit and bravery ware a part of her personality from her school days .she was born into a roller working class family and was one of the seven children .she came across Swift opposition from her family when she decided to a otp for a career as a professional mountaineer. Pal created history through her hard work and success .she is an inspiration to all woman mountaineer and prove that women are no less stronger than men. she was awarded India's fourth highest civilian award ,the Padma Shri ,in 1984 .
