if root 2 is a zero of the given cubic polynomial equation then x minus root 2 is a factor of that given cubic polynomial equation and because it is a factor it will divide that cubic polynomial leaving no remainder so divide that cubic polynomial by the x minus root 2 it will give the questions as the quadratic equation factorise it it will give two factors and that are under root 2 X + 1 and X + 4 now equate these two factors = 0 which will give 2 zeros that are -4 and minus one upon root 2
