It's used for excretion of excreta from our body. consuming a good amount of fibre in your diet can help in improved digestive system, excretion of foreign particles and excreta. The fibre you included in your diet can be determined by the appearance and the type of color of your excreta but it will be kinda nasty if I will start explaining about that here so I will leave that.
