hi

At the Garden, a school field trip is an educational science adventure through the themed gardens. Fill out our Field Trips & Tours Inquiry form to begin planning your visit to the garden!

Each spring students celebrate Earth Day at the Garden with activities exploring conservation and Earth stewardship. In the fall, students come to the Garden for Butterfly Days, where they learn about the role of pollinators through hands-on activities. Learn more about the Earth Days field trips here, and the Butterfly Days field trips here.

All General Field Trips include a 1 hour “Garden Walk.” Schools need to schedule a visit two weeks in advance.

Garden Walk All ages (Pre-Seniors) 1 hour.

A guide will walk your class through the garden and use the natural world as an interactive teaching tool. Guides will point out all the fascinating plants, features and insects that live in every nook and cranny. We like to allow students’ keen senses of discovery and wonder lead the lesson to what interests their curious minds most.

Field Trips are $80 per class. If your group is part of a non-profit or low-income school, ask us about our Community Access Program.

Teachers and chaperones do not have to pay if they are assisting a group of students.

Reservations required at least two weeks in advance.
