and in that 8--> two semi circles and a square of side equal to the diameter of the semi circles inside so x+2x+x=8

4x=8

x=8/4=2

so radius = 2

so area of 4 semi circles = 4(π*r^2)/2= 2*3.14*2*2= 25.12cm^2

and area of the squares formed by adding the diameters of semi circles =4*4=16

so total shape area = 16+25.12= 41.12

and area of the square with having side 14 is 196cm^2

so shaded area = 196-41.12= 154.88cm^2
